Beaumont Blogs!
May 4, 2006 --
Having resisted the siren-like call of the blog for many a month, I have finally been coaxed out of my Luddite reserve and convinced to start a beer and bar blog for Adams Beverage Media, publishers of Cheers and Beverage Dynamics magazines, at their fast-developing website, beveragenet.net.
Posting more-or-less weekly in a section they call “
"On the House," I will be offering commentary, criticism and commendations on the brewing industry and the bars and restaurants it serves, primarily as pertaining to North America. Expect more along the lines of what you see at World of Beer, but with coarser opinions and a bit more of an "industry insider" skew.
In the "On the House" blog spot, I’ll be joining illustrious company. Already present are Jack Robertiello, former editor of Cheers and webmaster of beveragenet.net, beverage consultant and drinks guru Robert Plotkin, the always outspoken Beverage Goddess, and a number of guest contributors.
Contrary to my gut instinct, which tells me that this is going to end up being a lot more work than I think, I find myself looking forward to a new life as a blogger. Please feel free to follow along and post your comments at "On the House," or email me back here at World of Beer.
