July 13, 2006 -- Hot on the heels of my blogging debut with the restaurant industry site, www.beveragenet.net, I've started a second blog at a more consumer-friendly site, www.thatsthespirit.com.

Like the "On the House" blogs at beveragenet.net, my That's the Spirit blogs will be filed on a more-or-less weekly basis and will cover a wide scope of topics, from beer to bars to the wonderful world of drink in general. Already covered are wine-oriented bars that realize there's life beyond the grape, the refreshing qualities of hoppy beers and the uncertain future of one of Canada's best-knmown beers.
