Molson Helps Out Bar Patrons
February 21, 2003 --
NEWS ITEM: On the back of their long running "I AM. Canadian" advertising campaign, Molson, one of Canada's Big Two breweries, has launched a series of back labels for their Canadian brand lager which feature various "conversation starters" beginning with "I AM." Examples include: "I AM a future entry in your speed dial;" "I AM a naughty little monkey;" and "I AM a one-man bachelorette party."
Ever willing to help out a major brewery, World of Beer would like to suggest some "cheeky, humorous and provocative lines" that Molson may have missed in the first round of 80 labels:
I AM a person who bases my beer purchasing decisions solely upon which brand has the latest marketing gimmick;
I AM repelled by the idea of bold flavours in beer;
I AM getting inebreeted…inibrirated…enubriated…drunk;
I AM a sheep who loves nothing more than to follow the pack;
I AM someone who hasn't actually tasted a beer that I was drinking for five years;
and, of course,
I AM so utterly bereft of imagination that I must read my pick-up lines from the backs of beer bottles.
