The White Cliffs Festival of Winter Ales

Location: Maison Dieu (Town Hall), High Street, Dover

A winter ale festival entering its seventh year. Expected this year are some 65 or more beers, including ales from Gales (Christmas Ale), Bath Ales (Festivity), Freeminer (IPA Gold Standard), Salopian (Fire Fly) and the Bass Museum (Winter Warmer).

Hours: Friday 5:00 - 11:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. "or until the beer runs out"

February 19 - 25, 2000 - San Francisco, California

Toronado Barley Wine Festival

Location: Toronado, 547 Haight Street

An annual event celebrating the beauty and science of barley wine. This year's fest starts on Saturday instead of the traditional Sunday, so there is more time for recovering from the barley wine assault. Sample thirty barley wines on tap, including a vintage keg of Old Crustacean!

Ommegang Ale Dinner with Don Feinberg & Wendy Littlefield

Location: The Esplanade Bier Markt

A multi-course meal featuring the beers of Brewery Ommegang, a Belgian-style brewery located in Cooperstown, New York. All three of the brewery's beers will be featured: Ommegang, Hennepin and Rare Vos (the latter two exclusive to the Esplanade).
