5th Annual Classic City Brew-Fest

Location: Classic Center on Thomas Street

150 beers to sample from around the world. Admission includes a collector's mug, program book and live musical entertainment. Details on beer brewing and styles are stressed -- along with information on responsible drinking. A huge beer t-shirt and collectibles booth offers great bargains to attendees as well. Benefits the non-profit AIDS Coalition of NE Georgia.

Hours: 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Admission: $17.75 +tax in advance, $20 +tax at door.

April 13 - 15, 2000 - Helsinki, Finland

Helsinki Beer Festival

A huge Finnish beer fest that last year featured over 400 different beers, 50 ciders and a selection of whiskies, and attracted 14,500 beer aficionados over a three-day period. This year's should be even bigger and better. International judges will award medals to the best beers, ciders, and whiskies in the competition.

Hours: (On the afternoons of April 13 and 14, admission is to trade only.) April 13 and 14, the Festival is open from 5:00 PM, and on April 15 it is open from noon.

April 14 - 15, 2000 - Penticton, British Columbia, Canada

The 5th annual Okanagan Fest-Of-Ale

Two dozen brewers offer samples of more than 70 brews. As well, some of the Okanagan's finer pubs and restaurants will be on hand with food samples and live entertainment.will be provided.

Cork Craft Brew Festival

Location: Franciscan Well Brewery

Cork's first Craft Brew Festival with more than 10 participating micro-breweries from all over Ireland. Also available will be German weissbiers and Belgian white beers and a selection of Continental draught beers. There will be an all day barbecue and souvenir variety packs will be for sale.
