The "Belgium Comes to Cooperstown" extravaganza is inspired in part by the original Ommegang pageant, and in part by the joyful and magical small town Belgian kermesses. Outside under a giant tent there will be Liege-style waffles, grilled sausages made with Ommegang beer, Belgian frites, typical Belgian drinks, cookies, and rich Belgian chocolates. Exhibtions will include a pageant featuring the Emperor Charles V and his royal entourage in magnificent period costume, demonstrations of the ancient and beautiful art of flag-throwing, exhibitions of falconry and much more.
