The 24 Hours of Beer Festival
Location: Oude Handelsbeurs, just off the Meir
Arguably the world's greatest beer festival moves to a new location this year after its old home burned down around Christmastime, 2000. Dozens of great beer will be available for tasting, from famed breweries like Chimay and Brasserie Dupont to smaller, newer operations such as Brouwerij de Leyerth. For fans of Belgian beer, this festival is a must.

The 8th Annual Maine Brewers' Festival
Location: Portland Exposition Building (just off Highway 295, next to Hadlock Field)
This festival celebrates Maine's craft brewers, showcasing their newest and most popular brews. Food, games, and music round out the experience for several hours of fun and learning. This festival, the largest single gathering of Maine breweries, features exclusively Maine breweries and hosts over 100 sampling opportunites.

The 20th Bury Beer Festival
Location: The Met Arts Centre, Market Street (5 minutes from the Bury bus/metro station.)
This long-running beer fest features 60 real ales, a wide selection of foreign beers and traditional draught ciders. Hot food including vegetarian fare is available and live entertainment is provided Saturday evening.
