July 26 - August 4, 2002 - Ta' Qali, Malta

The Farsons Great Beer Festival 2002

Location: Ta' Qali National Gardens

The Farsons Beer Festival is back at the Ta' Qali National Gardens. Keeping the promise of entertainment for the whole family, the festival will feature the very best in local entertainment, international cuisine and an assortment of games including an area for children. As in previous editions, a food court will be setup, serving international styles of cuisine such as Chinese, Turkish, Italian, Traditional Maltese food and various others. The entertainment on all ten days of the Beer Festival will start at 7.30pm with a different Maltese village band kicking off each night of the Festival with various round the gardens. Every night, three different acts will be presented on the Main Stage, which will also feature foreign & local traditional performances. The World Beers Bar, with well known beer brands such as Cisk Export, Carlsberg, Budweiser, Guinness and Beck's, will be dedicated to alternative rock bands. After 22 years, the Farsons Great Beer Festival has become part of the Maltese Summer.

August 10, 2002 - Madison, Wisconsin

16th Annual Great Taste of the Midwest

Location: Olin-Turville Park

Enjoy the second longest-running craft beer festival in North America, featuring 90-100 breweries/brewpubs from throughout the Midwest expected to be serving about 400+ different beers in the Beer Capital of the Midwest. Enjoy a beautiful lakeside setting with a view of the state capitol, great food for sale, space to spread out on the grass in sun or shade to enjoy the beers and music, and a celebrity brewer dunk tank for charity. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are NOT sold at the gate. This year's event is SOLD OUT. Time to start planning for next year's.

August 24, 2002 - Indianapolis, Indiana

Indiana Microbrewers Festival

Location: Opti Park, Broad Ripple

The Indiana Microbrewers Festival, a fundraising event for the Humane Society of Indianapolis, allows guests to sample over 100 different kinds of beer, many brewed right here in Indiana. Admission price allows you to sample these beers at no additional charge. It also includes a free commemorative-event tasting glass and program guide, and a chance at great door prizes. Several bands will provide great live music. Festival t-shirts and commemorative posters will be available for sale.
