Leeds Beer, Cider and Perry Festival 2004
In association with Yorkshire Evening Post. Lots & lots of beer - around 150 different ones - some from just down the road and a shed load of bottled stuff from foreign parts. The best range of cider & perry on the planet (well, we try). Still one of the best value for money Festivals around - some beers sold at European Duty levels instead of British! An All-Black Beer Dinner with Stephen Beaumont
Tom Peters of Philadelphia's esteemed Monk's Café and I are always looking for unusual themes for our twice-yearly beer dinners, and so we considered such concepts as a Québécois dinner to an all-French brasserie meal for this year's March event. When I realized that we would be dining the day before St. Partrick's Day, however, I quickly recognized that there was really only one option available: an all stouts and porters dinner. Expect the kind of deliciously innovative cuisine we've come to expect from Adam Glickman, the stellar chef at Monk's, and an assortment of ebony ales ranging from the unusual to the spectacular.
Location: Monk's Café, 264 S. 16th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102 Admission: $75.00, including beer Contact: Tom Peters Phone: 215-898-3900
