Your Comments, Criticisms and Contributions - November 2000
Dear Mr. Beaumont,
I've become your constant reader. At least I regularly visit you WEB and I like it. Yes, yes, indeed... I am 33 and I live in St.Petersburg, that's in Russia. Sorry for bothering but I have a small question: Where in Europe your new book may be bought? And what is the appr. price? (If you know of course). I'll be very grateful for any information, you could supply... I consider myself as a porter and stout fan, that's why the section for Baltic porters in your book seems to me to be very interesting.
With kind regards,
Yuri V. Katunin
Thank you for your email and kind comments. To receive a copy of my new book, I would suggest sending an email to service@fireflybooks.com and explaining to them your predicament. (The book is not available anywhere in Europe at present. North Americans can click on the Premium Beer Drinker's Guide banner for ordering details.) If they can't help you, email back and I'll see what I can do.
Would you be able to recommend a "Beer of the Month" Club? I'm getting married and was thinking of giving this as a gift to the groomsmen. I would appreciate any feedback you have.
Thank you,
Sharyn
I'VE HEARD THAT IF YOU REMOVE BOTTLES OF BEER FROM REFRIGERATION AND BRING THEM TO ROOM TEMPERATURE, THEN CHILL THEM AGAIN, THEY GET SKUNKY.
DO YOU KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE?

Not true. Skunkiness in beer is caused by exposure to light.
I'm am doing an assignment on Crown Lager and have found conflicting information on who is the market leader in Australia for Premium beers. Some say Crown is but another source stated Guinness, Corona and another beer as the to three in Australia. Any help would be much appreciated, thankyou.

I'd suggest that you start your search for the truth in Aus/NZ premium beers at http://realbeer.co.nz.
