- From October 2 through 4, the sixteenth annual Great American Beer Festival took place in Denver, Colorado, and for only the second time in the past seven years, I chose to pass on attending the event. Since then, however, I have spoken to a lot of people who did go. Here is some of what they told me.

- The following excerpt from my second book, A Taste for Beer, is presented in response to requests from Al Farrell and Dan Morales, who wanted more information on beer tasting and encouraging others to expand their beer horizons.

- It took a while to put together, but SBWoB webmaster, Kevin Fair, and I were finally able to sit down to a blind tasting of four top Belgian white beers: Celis White from Austin, Texas, Blanche de Chambly from Montreal, Quebec, Hoegaarden White from Hoegaarden, Belgium, and the new, licensed Celis White from the Brick Brewing Company of Waterloo, Ontario.
